When setting up a donation button it says "Users that are not verified nonprofits must demonstrate how their donations will be used, once they raise more than $10,000 USD"
I wanted clarification on the meaning of this. Does this mean that ONLY if you raise more than 10,000 that you need to demonstrate how the donations will be used? And no special requirements apply if you raise under 10k?
I do not expect to raise 10k. I am fundraising for my service dog. I want to give both the option of sending donations directly to me through paypal, as well as mailing them directly to the service dog organization. Any donations in excess of the full balance for the dog are considered donations to the organization and stay with the organization. I have already paid quite a bit of money to the organization. Its my hope to possibly fundraise the amount I've already paid back, to be able to be used for ongoing care and expenses of the dog once received. Time being of the essence I borrowed money to get the ball rolling since it will be a 2 year wait to receive the fully trained dog.
