Basically all you need to do is share your email address with the sender. (The same one you use to login to your Account with.)

If you plan to be a seller, then you should consider either upgrading to either a Premier Account or Business Account.  You can then send your customers or clients an invoice or setup a web page where as they can pay you using credit cards.

As far as I can tell my PayPal balance has never been used to pay for an item I've ordered.

Why not?

Thanks.

You should have started a new post as your topic/question is different from the original post in this thread.

As for your question, we don't have enough info.   Assuming you have sufficient funds in your PayPal Account Balance to pay for the purchase, PayPal would use the money from your Account Balance.  If you did not have sufficient funds in your PayPal Account Balance, PayPal would next try your bank account or if no bank account, a credit card.  The exception to this process would be if you chose to use a different funding source on the PayPal Checkout Screens.  For example, there you can chose a credit card if there's one linked and confirmed to your account.

Unfortunately as this is a member to member help group, we don't have access to view user account details or info.  Best we can suggest that if you have additional questions or concerns, give customer support a ring as they can check things out for you.
