Currently, I use the "easy way" - PayPal buttons that are made by PayPal, where I tell them the product, price, etc. and the transaction takes the customer out of my website on to PayPal's site. Then I print the packing slip and shipping label via PayPal. This is the non-developer way. I've been noticing a problem doing it this way. Some browsers don't show the user the new window (the PayPal window). It does the first time, but if a user presses the "add to cart" button after the first time, there is no indication to the user that the item was added to the cart (since the PayPal window was already opened). This causes the user to hit the "add to cart" several more times, unbeknownst to them, adding to the quantity. Therefore, I often get multiple quantities which don't make sense, so I have to contact the customer to verify they only wanted one (not two or three) and then I have to refund for the accidental additions. So now I'm going to try and do it the more difficult way (the developer way) so that the PayPal window pops up when doing the transaction, and the user does not leave my site. Now, here's my questions: 1. Does PayPal still list the transactions in my business account? 2. Can I still select to ship via PayPal (the customer's address is there with the transaction)? 3. Can I print out the packing slip like I used to? Or does PayPal have no knowledge of the items and cost, they just know that money was taken and the name and address of the customer? 4. Can I still do a refund, and a partial refund if needed?
