Dear PayPal comunity, I'm writing to express my concern about my account being unexpectedly limited after successfully verifying my identity and trying to completing my first transaction yesterday. I've been a PayPal user for almost 10 years, but never used it until recently. Yesterday, my daughter received her first freelance design call and payment and I wanted to help her securely obtain it without sharing my credit card details. I linked my own credit card to my PayPal account and uploaded a recent bank statement as requested during verification. After completing verification, I sent a $5 payment on her behalf to the client, jut $5 not $50.00 not $500.00 just $5. Unfortunately, my account was immediately and permanently limited without any explanation or opportunity to appeal. I'm deeply troubled by this sudden restriction, as it leaves me and my daughter in a difficult situation. She earned the payment through sincere effort and dedication, and now she may not receive it due to unforeseen circumstances. I understand the importance of account security and fraud prevention, but I haven't engaged in any suspicious activity. Please provide a clear explanation for why my account was limited. If there's a misunderstanding, I'm happy to provide any additional information required. My primary concern is to find a resolution that allows my daughter to receive her earned payment. Additionally, I would appreciate insights into what triggered the limitation to avoid similar situations in the future.
