Got a (private) buyer asking me to ship a used item from UK to Italy and they are requesting that I declare the value on the package to be lower than the actual sale price for the item. They're also requesting to pay in two chunks, one is the declared value and one is the remainder. I'm all for sticking it to the man, especially for used goods for which tax has already been paid. But to my mind, this puts my Seller Protection at risk for two reasons: A) I need to provide proof of postage from the delivery company, which would potentially disclose the declared value and invalidate a claim by me. B) I need the payment in one transaction otherwise my seller protection is void. Am I right in my assessment about the protection? Should I pull out of this sale?
