I purchased an item of Ebay on Aug. 5th. Seller marked shipped next day and provided a tracking number but it never shipped. Later I found out from the mom that her son had done this on her account and he was supposed to ship it out tomorrow, day after day its always "He is shipping it out today". To make a long story short she said it shipped today usps and gave me a bogus tracking number. I try to email her a couple hours later to ask her if she forgot some numbers in the tracking information and her email had been cancelled, I got a postmaster saying it was undeliverable. I really feel like they are trying to scam me. Do I open up a dispute now or do I take her word for it and wait for the package to arrive?

Open the dispute NOW and comment that 2 bogus tracking numbers have already been provided and neither checks out.
