Card Confirmation - 0.00 USD charged

Hello,

I am trying to follow the instructions from the Help Center, but upon clicking on the "Confirm your card" link I keep getting charged 0.00 USD repeatedly instead of 1 or 4 or however much is should be. As such, I end up no money withdrawn from my card and then no money refunded, with no code.

I don't even really get the option to enter any 4-digit code after the 0.00 has been charged to my account.

How can I get PayPal to actually charge my card so then I can get the refund with the code?

Hello @redmark1991,

Welcome to PayPal Community Forum and thank you for posting!

I am sorry to know about the trouble while confirming your card. When you try to confirm a card, the charge appears on your card statement with a 4-digit code and the word PAYPAL, for example: PAYPAL1234 or 1234PAYPAL within 2-3 business days. An option for the “Confirm Card” link appears next to your card details. Please note that after you confirm your card, we’ll immediately refund the charge. Your card issuer will credit your balance within 30 days of the refund date.

This is an important security feature that is an industry standard for online processing because it allows us to verify that you are the account holder of the card and that the card information is correct. Since you are unable to find the charge please reach out to the card issuer and they will help you with the same. If not, you may have to remove the card and re-add it if you haven't received the code for more than a given period of time.

Regards,
Ayesha
