cancelation of a payment

I sent my friend a payment and I wrote private but it transferred as service. what do we do now? how can we cancel it?

The friends/family option is not available in every country so if its not available in yours and you could not select that option then the payment would have been received as a payment for goods or services.

No they can't cancel but they can issue a refund but if the payment is 'on hold' then the refund would come from their bank account and they would have to wait until the held funds were released.

If not on hold they can refund however they will not get back the fee that they were charged when they received your payment.
