Wrong account was charged

I selected my PayPal credit account as the preferred payment option and the charge went through on my debit card. Is there a way to correct the payment method if the charge has already been made?

Apparently no. I've just had this issue too. I specifically chose my bank account, which is the preferred account, as the payment was in US dollars & my account covers the fee. For who know what reason, PayPal have charged my credit card which will now charge me a fee. I double checked before I went ahead, why has it charged the wrong method? And then because it has been completed, I can't change the account it has come from or cancel. Very disappointed.
