Hi, I’d been waiting for a refund from an eBay purchase for about a week, I got an email from PayPal yesterday to say it had completed. I’ve checked my account and it’s not in there, the card I used to pay for it has since expired. I’ve been sent a new card and the account is the same etc. I’m just wondering if that could effect it or if there’s anything I can do?

Hi @Temp20211005f,
The refund will automatically revert to the account associated with the old card even if you have a new card number. If it's for a closed account, the refund would be rejected and sent back to your PayPal balance. I hope that helps!

The refund will automatically revert to the account associated with the old card even if you have a new card number. If it's for a closed account, the refund would be rejected and sent back to your PayPal balance. I hope that helps!
