Hi, we've recently had an issue with a purchase we made on the Apple store, via my partner's Apple ID, back in 2022. It looks like Apple used a PayPal credit agreement (originally applied for via the Apple Store two year's before this, in 2020, which we decided not to use and thought had long expired) by default for a purchase we made. We had actually entered the payment details of a work procurement credit card to make the purchase and thought this was fine and the sale went through. However, we've just got a letter from PayPal saying we haven't made credit repayments for a PayPal Credit agreement that was used for this purchase?!?! Firstly, there is no clue in the PayPal account that the agreement was ever used, we've never had any payment due or overdue emails, received a payment schedule or any monthly statements, it has never appeared as a negative balance on the paypal account and it isn't visible on our credit reports. We've paid money in and out of paypal account for the last 2 years and been non the wiser. We've never had any correspondence in our paypal account either, or emails to the email we registered with them about the agreement. It's all so confusing! Is it possible for Apple ID to have defaulted to using the PayPal credit agreement without us knowing? We've literally had no clue this agreement was in use and it's pretty scary! We are in the UK.
