Hi i have an paypal account that i deleted back in 2018-19. I also deleted the email related to that PayPal account. I spoke with a representative to see if he can find all my transactions made with that account and he found over 60+ transactions but told me he couldn’t disclose them to me. So i know my transaction are still showing in their system/records. Id like to know how to legally get them. I am getting audited right now and i need all those transactions to help me throughout the audit. I already sent a letter to PayPal address in San Francisco via UPS , its been delivered around 1 months and half ago and no one has reached to me. Any help would be appreciated please i really need my transaction history

You’d need a court order/subpoena. Send it to their legal dept offices in Canada:

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

Hi @Tbpbird87,

Thank you for your reply and welcome to the community. I'm sorry for any confusion.

The legal correspondence address is toward the bottom of the first subsection of the Communications Between You and Us section that @sharpiemarker linked to.

I hope this helps!

Olivia

Thank you for the help, sending a subpoena seems a little bit expensive, do you think i can request those if i send them a letter and a scan of my passport prooving my identity ? Its very easy to proove that i am the account owner. Im not sure its worth paying thousands of dollar for an attorney to request those. What do you think anyone did that before ?

Hi @Tbpbird87,

I was surprised that you were told that it wasn't possible to get the information. It's certainly possible that the Customer Service representative was unable to get you the information. It may however be that the representative was mistaken, or there may have been a change to policy that I am not aware of.

I would suggest contacting again and explaining the situation, and then request a copy of the full Activity History log, which would have information as far back as 7 years ago. If you are able to validate any identity information they ask you to, it's possible that they can provided that record. Methods for contact can be found by clicking Contact at the bottom of the PayPal website, and as an alternative, you may wish to try a PM on Facebook or a DM on Twitter.

I hope this can be resolved quickly!

Olivia

Hi thanks for the help, i called again on Monday January 16th and spoke with another supervisor, this time this supervisor told me that he would grant my request. Today friday 20th i received a secured email from PayPal. I received all my transactions mixed up ( money in , money out etc) and there is no description for each transaction. So this is kinda useless to me. As i explained i am getting audited right now and i need all business expenses. Having a file with numbers and no description is not a valid “proof” that this is a business expenses, so these would likely be refused in the audit, Ive been told thats how paypal send transaction history and they dont archives titles and description. So PayPal advised me to contact eBay and see what they can do about this as all transactions were made in Ebay-Paypal. What kind of attorney would i need to request ebay or PayPal legal department. Im sure if it was law enforcement requesting those from PayPal legal, they would give all information including description. But they supervisor i spoke to is limited to what they can produce . Im kinda stuck right now. Ill try with Ebay again and request a supervisor there
