my friend just sent me money from Scotland and on paypal i have no credit card registered. he has sent me more than 100 pounds and his history shows the transaction of the account im using but for me no email is showing up nor any money on hold??

Check the email address he sent the funds to and make sure there were no errors or typos.
Ask him what it says on his paypal account ie unclaimed/pending/sent or completed?
Was he sending in your currency?
Is it pending on his paypal account / yours or both accounts?
