I attempted to purchase a gift card on Christmas day using PayPal. The store sent me an email stating the transaction had been canceled due to suspected/potential fraud and I would not be charged. The charge is still showing up on my PayPal and bank account as pending authorization. How long should it take for this transaction to resolve since it never completed and how long will the funds be held as pending?
When you pay a company then it is often pending or awaiting authorisation until that company processes your order and captures the pending payment.
If they don't process the order and capture that payment then the pending status times out at 30 days post-payment and returns back to your funding source.
