Payment to family member denied. Help please.

Hello.

I am in Switzerland. I'm trying to send money to a family member's PayPal account in NYC.

 

All info I input is correct. My Bank Debit/VISA card has sufficient funds available.

 

I send it as Swiss Francs and it's received as US dollars. I accept the surcharges for international

and currency conversion.

 

When I click SEND MONEY the message says it is denied and I don't understand why.

 

I have tried with Chrome browser, Firefox browser, and Android app, but always the same denial message.

 

English phone support is not available until Monday, Dec. 19, 2022.

 

I need help, please.

I got it resolved and sent the payment.

The problem was my card limit had to be increased by the bank.

Do they have a personal or business account?

If you are sending in Swiss Francs then why not input USD for sending and then it will deduct in Swiss Francs from your funding source.

Hi. Thanks for replying.

 

It's a personal account and I've tried the way you suggest by changing the currency. Still no joy.

 

Finally got through to an English-speaking PayPal support. They say the problem is my bank

is denying the payment. Trying to get through to my bank now. Will update here when I have a result.
