I waited on hold for two hours, never got any help, and then the call center closed.

Paypal stopped me from transferring my balance to my bank account that has been connected to my Paypal account for more than a decade, for no apparent reason.  I jumped through several hoops to verify my identity.  And I called the call center and was told I have to talk to an "account specialist".

I was left on hold for two hours and never helped.

I was told my transfer to myself was flagged for "security".  Really?  If my account were compromised, Paypal thinks the badguys would give MY money to ME?!  I don't believe that for one moment.  

I think there was a glitch, and I think the overseas "customer service" just flat out avoids work and collects a free check.

I am sorry to hear about your negative experience. I do understand your concern. Based on what you have explained, it sounds like you are having issues with our internal secuirty system when trying to make a withdrawal. 

 

I would suggest you clear your cache and cookies, and try again in 72 hours. Sometimes the system just needs time to reset.

I'm going through this EXACT same issue. They keep saying 48 hours. 24 hours. I still can't get MY MONEY RELEASED to MY bank. One rep even went as far as telling me to add someone else's bank account that I trusted onto my pay pal and see if it'll allow me to transfer those funds. Sooo you're telling me you won't deposit it into MY NAME BANK ACCOUNT but will someone else's name that is not even mine? That's a huge red flag for security, ya think?
