Strange email received

I received an email from PayPal on Wednesday 3/15/2013.
What I find strange is that in the subject line it says "Ref ID - PP-L...", but when I log into PayPal I don't see a message with "Ref ID - PP-L....". So I assume that this is a fake email. If it was really something from PayPal, it would surely be seen in my PayPal account itself after logging in?

Thought that if it was something from PayPal admins that it would also show up in my profile on PayPal and not just as an email.
