Sequserial scam and no buyer protection

So I was stupid and fell for a Facebook ad for an "ANBERNIC RG353VS GAME CONSOLE" by Sequserial.

So after a few days I got a tracking ID and I thought it was fishy.

So I fiddled with the last numbers of the code a bit and hey, I found another working tracking code.

Yes my friends, you are seeing this correctly. The entire path is identical, except for the fact that everything happened three seconds later throughout the whole process and the places are different.

In other words, the tracking information I got is completely and utterly FAKE.

I found 10 more working tracking codes and they all followed the same pattern but with other cities and slightly different date/times.

I contacted Sequserial about this and got no response.

So I opened a dispute with Paypal and I explained this to them. They said they're going to get more information from the supplier.

The supplier sent another tracking code on a different tracking service to Paypal which showed that the package was said to be delivered a few days before. This was also reflected on the original (fake) tracking service. But all the other information, the entire journey of the package, is completely different!

So I responded to Paypal and said

"So this is the 100% proof that everything is fake, they're now suddenly sending different tracking info, different dates, different location of sending, just compare what they sent now to what they sent earlier."

And I have just received their response.

We have closed the dispute because the supplier has proven that they have delivered the item.

So this is the Paypal buyer protection? They engage with known scammers and just accept whatever crap is sent to them, completely ignoring my proof that that information is fake??

Paypal is just a payment processor that gives you 'some' buyer and 'some' seller protection.
So disputes for non receipt of item are mostly automated. Seller provides tracking that shows delivery = seller wins.
So then its your turn to do some work to assist Paypal in recovering your purchase price from your seller.

Firstly ring Paypal customer services and tell them that the number is fake or that the item was shown as shipped before you purchased it. With that information they may well just issue you a refund.

Secondly if they don't then... APPEAL
To submit an appeal on the dispute that was closed, PayPal asks that you obtain a detailed report from the shipper/courier (on their letterhead or some other form of official stationary) that includes the address the seller gave them for the shipment. Or one that includes a statement mentioning your address and saying the item was delivered to a different address. THEY DON'T HAVE TO SAY WHICH ADDRESS IT WAS SENT TO, JUST THAT IT WAS NOT DELIVERED TO YOUR ADDRESS.

Check tracking in below link to see where it went.

When you have that, contact PayPal via phone (log on to your account and click contact at the bottom of the page, or via Facebook (send a Private Message to PayPal) or via Twitter (send a Direct Message to @AskPayPal) and say you want to appeal the denial of the dispute based on the shipper saying the item was delivered to a different address. Once it's submitted (you will be provided with directions on how to do that), the dispute will be reviewed further and a determination will be made.

You also have the option to contact your card issuer if you funded your Paypal payment that way and see if they will do a chargeback for you?

Thank you for your honest advice.

Fact is, I'm not going to spend one more second fighting this because I don't have the confidence that I will ever win this. My account has been in perfect standing for the past 22 years and I apparently lose my first dispute ever from a party who is a well known scammer and who sends out faked track and trace info.

I did talk to a cs rep and they basically told me that their seller protection is more important than my buyer protection. So next time I buy something I will just use my credit card. I trusted Paypal for 22 years but they apparently do not trust me.

The irony. The images I uploaded were rejected because they contained addresses.

THEY ARE NOT REAL

They have been faked by the supplier.

The final proof that nobody at Paypal even takes a minute to read what I am saying.
