My PayPal account was hacked into and about $23,000 was withdrawn. I was never notified of any suspicious activity and was only contacted by PayPal when my account had a minus $23,000 balance and they limited my account. I have been going back and forth with PayPal since July and they have always told me that they are "internally reviewing" the matter. I have now had $7,000 withdrawn from my account, which I did not spend. PayPal's customer service is ridiculous.
