I can see that a charge of "$4,169" with the name "PAYPAL INST XFER [removed]" is showing up on my bank account logs. I do not have any idea what this charge is for at all. Can someone please help me to figure this out. Its a lot of money.

Is it showing in your paypal account? If so click on recent transactions and see if you can recognise it.

If its there and you did not make it then at the bottom of that details page report it as unauthorised using the report a problem link.

Failing that ask customer services to check your account for you?

Contact options for each countries Paypal customer services are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages.

1. Paypal phones (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, (during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out).
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a private direct message via Social Media on Facebook, Twitter/X, or Instagram pages.
