I was sent a screenshot by a friend of a PayPal transaction. However at the bottom it says to apply 100$ Gift card to approve the transaction. Somebody help as I wouldn’t want my friend to be scammed

If you or a friend have been asked to send a buyer a gift card before your payment is released, this is likely a scam. PayPal would not require you to purchase anything in order for you to receive a payment.
