Hi, i received four payments this week out of the blue, i have nothing for sale and did not ask for any money. PAYPAL charged a fee on each transaction and put the rest in my account, about an hour later the "buyer" raised a case that it was an unauthorised transaction and the money was frozen. they then after no real investigation closed the case and awarded the "buyer" a refund all seams fair but they have kept the fee so my balance is now negative.

PAYPAL refuse to open the case and said the matter is delt with. how can i get my money back as far as i am aware this "buyer" does not exist and PAYPAL and just scamming me. HELP please.

Paypal consistently frauds people.  Their mission is to get your money and keep it for themselves.  They say you are protected from fraud but you are not.  You are not protected from them.  Once your info is on their site and in their hands they can and will use it however they want to.  They have taken me for $200 and say it went to someone for yard services.  I pay my yard workers weekly in cash $$25.   They said I was protected and would get me a refund they did not.  They did nothing but cause me grief.  I have turned them into my bank and the police.  Addintionally on their site you can find the number for the banking commission.  I  urge anyone with fraud on paypal to contact the police and file a report against them and contact the banking commission and tell them what Paypal has done to you.  Let's all work to get the fraudsters put out business once and for all!!  Stop the fraud, the hassle, the grief and the carelessness.  This is a complete outrage that are even running a business and being allowined to take people's financial information.

Paypal is the one commmitting the fraud.  You need to report them to the police and to the banking commission.  Their number is listed is on the site or you can get it online.  Good luck!  Let's bring them down!!

If someone makes an error or typo with an email address and you receive the funds by mistake then its best to contact that person immediately and tell them you will happily refund minus the fee element as it was their mistake. Most folks are happy to agree to that.

Unfortunately you waited until the sender opened a dispute and so paypal issued a refund and of course as with refunds normally you don't get the fee element returned as part of that refund.
