Stolen money from PayPal or hacker?

Back in December I received a Zelle payment of $200 one day and transferred it to my PayPal account since I have a debit card for that account. I spent some money by ordering dinner that night but the next morning when I went to check the balance I was expecting around 150 left and I had 0. Also, all the transactions had been erased from the app so when I called customer service they flat out said since they saw nothing on the screen it basically never even happened. Would love my $150 back or an explanation for how that happened or what options I even have. I’m sure the resounding answer is nothing but considering how broke I was then it really **bleep**ed up my day.

Hello @Erinmcm335

Welcome to the PayPal Community Forum! I'm sorry to hear you've run into some issues with a recent transfer to your PayPal account. I would certainly be concerned about a missing $150 as well. How did you transfer it to your PayPal account? Was it initiated through PayPal or through your bank's site? Can you tell us a bit more how you specifically transferred it? Also, is it possible you have multiple PayPal accounts with different email addresses or phone numbers and the funds may have landed on that other account? Since transactions can't really be erased or disappear, if there are no transfers showing into that account, that account did not receive those funds.

You may also want to reach out to bank where you received the Zelle payment to confirm the funds have actually been transferred over to PayPal.

Best wishes with this and future transactions!
