Someone gave me $500 on my PayPal. They said they already paid for the reflection charges but I would also need to have $40 reflection fee for me to receive the $500. Is this legit?

Welcome! Thank you for visiting PayPal's Community Forum. I can understand receiving money through PayPal can be a bit confusing. There's no "reflection" fee at PayPal. Also, you should never have to pay someone to receive money from them. PayPal does charge a fee in certain situations, but it will always be paid directly to PayPal right as you receive the payment into your PayPal account.
