Invoice mail from scammer I haven't paid for it yet. Still Pending. Can they take my money?

Hi,

I got invoice mail from scammer I haven't paid for it yet. Still Pending. Will it be deducted from my bank account?

I cannot report it as scam, or cancel it. There is no cancel button. I can only pay for it manually. I have removed the bank card and bank account details from my account. So there is no way they can take my money from the bank account right, only If I manually click to pay for it. Am I right?

Sounds like a scam money request or invoice.

Scammers harvest email addresses and send out those requests hoping some email addresses are linked to paypal accounts and the unsuspecting recipient 'may' pay them not realising they are scams.

If there is a cancel option then cancel it, if not ignore it and hopefully it should time out at some point.

As long as you don't click to pay it then no money should be transferred.

I just recently got the same thing. What did they claim you bought?

NORTON 360 Anti-Virus for ROBERT [Removed] I do not know that person. There was a  phone number +[Removed. Phone #s not permitted] I have called it but an Indian guy answered it and wanted to know more about my bank account I did not give him any information but told him the money was not taken yet, just cancel the invoice and he hung up on me.

I have the same issue. And it's really annoying because they keep adjusting the estimate to keep sending emails.

To cancel the invoice you have to log in to your account on a web browser. You can't cancel from the app. Click on the invoice and click cancel. As long as you don't click on anything on the email invoice you will be fine. No money will be taken from your account.

I got an email too today saying that someone is charging my paypal $500 and to cal[Removed. Phone #s not permitted]  1. the charge was not showing under pending activity.  2. When I called, they answered right away (which I thought was weird) and they wanted me to go in front of my computer.  I asked why do they want me in front of the computer and they said "you need to be in front of your computer if you want me to help you with this".  I asked "why" again and they hung up.  This is a scam hoping that you will reveal important info like SSN, bank acct #, etc, etc.  I am so glad, I did not fall for this!!!
