I lost a dispute to a client which is kind of unfair and here's why:

Last month, I decided to inform my client that I would be resigning due to personal circumstances. Before resigning though, I made sure to finish the last commission they requested and sent it to them. After that, I wrote a resignation letter and sent it to their email at exactly 8am in the morning. A few days passed and I received an email that all the money I earned from commission was gone! It turns out that the client filed a dispute saying they did not receive the item requested which is totally not the case. I sent it through their messenger AND email. I responded to the dispute as well as provided the needed evidences to prove that I finished the commission, sent it to them and getting the affirmation that they indeed received the item. Confident that I had the upper hand due to having enough proof, I waited, and just last Friday I once again received an email from PayPal and to my surprise, the buyer won the case. All the money I earned from commission, GONE. If that isn't bad enough, my PayPal balance is now negative. Baffling as it is, it took me a while to finally decide to confide to PayPal Community, hoping that someone could help me resolve this case.

Is there a way for me to get the money I earned back?

Sounds as if you did not have seller protection, you need to have the proof paypal requires for virtual / digital transaction as per their paypal seller protection policy. Paypal does not accept proof of receipt of an item via an email from a buyer.
