Unable to confirm sandbox email address

Hi, 

 

I've recently created a sandbox account that needs the email address linked to the account confirmed however when attempting to confirm the address no confirmation email is sent. 

 

I've re-requested an email to be sent on countless occasions and have checked my junk box and spam inboxes, which both do not contain the confirmation email. 

 

This is preventing me from being able to test payments as I'm a unconfirmed user I'm unable to receive payments. 

 

please help me to confirm my email address / phone number of my sandbox account so I can begin testing receiving payment to my sandbox account?

Thank you for posting to the PayPal Sandbox Community.

The confirmation email is a virtual email that is sent to a PayPal Developer Account, if the sandbox account is associated with a developer account. 

Here is how to link your new sandbox account to a PayPal Developer Account:

  • Log into the Developer Dashboard at https://developer.paypal.com
    • Make certain to use live PayPal credentials
  • Click on Testing Tools
  • Click Sandbox Accounts
  • Click on "Link other sandbox accounts to this developer account"
  • Log into your sandbox account
  • Link the account

Once the account is linked, resend the confirmation email. Here is how to view the email:

  • Log into the developer dashboard at https://developer.paypal.com
  • Click on Testing Tools
  • Click Sandbox Notifications
  • Look for the notification that says "Confirm your email"
  • Click on the notification
  • Click on the link to confirm your email
  • Log into your sandbox account

If you are unable to view the email notification, or link the sandbox account to your PayPal Developer Account, we can manually confirm the sandbox email for you. We need the PayPal Merchant ID to confirm the sandbox account.

Here is how to find your Sandbox PayPal Merchant ID:

  • Log into your sandbox account at https://sandbox.paypal.com
  • Hover over the name in the top right
  • Click on Account Settings
  • Click on Business information
  • You should see the PayPal Merchant ID
