Is there a way we can still receive reports in the previously offered qfx format?

My software had NO ISSUES reading paypal transactions as qfx

For some reason......QIF is NOT recognizable...and all downloads report as corrupt from paypal?!?

Please help!!

Hello, MurphsWorld. I'm sorry to hear there's been a problem downloading your transaction history. To get around this, it might work to use one of the other file formats such as CSV (Comma Separated Value) and then import that into QuickBooks. Follow the steps at https://www.paypal.com/us/selfhelp/article/how-do-i-download-my-transaction-history-faq1007/2 to see the options for downloading transactions.

You could try connecting to PayPal for Quickbooks by following the steps at https://www.paypal.com/us/selfhelp/article/connect-to-paypal-for-quickbooks-faq3027/1. Lastly, deleting the cookies and temporary internet files from your computer may also help.

I hope this information is helpful. If you need further assistance, please log on to your PayPal account, click Contact at the bottom of the screen and then click Call Us.  I don't understand the point of working via a CSV file?!?    I never had a problem importing files in the PREVIOUSLY offered qfx format?!? I don't understand WHY Paypal would REMOVE a working exportable format ?!?   Is this supposed to be an ENHANCEMENT....by removing an ability I used to have before PayPal decided to KILL it?!?!?     Sorry....extremely disappointed with how PayPal has removed an ability I used to have....and only replies with a very limp recommendation of using a CSV format????   What is this the early 1980's ??

I am NOT using Quickbooks, so your solution is I get rid of my existing financial software.....and convert to Quickbooks?                       Sorry...but...this is as helpful as converting to a file format of CSV.                      I believe it is more expedient to simply print the transactions from PayPal.....and MANUALLY retype them!!!                                               Extremely UNHAPPY with PayPal's "ENHANCEMENTS"

This is more work than needed since paypal only goes back 3 years for everything. Can't the QFX format be offered again please? I need a report from 4 years ago and CSV is not a good alternative for bookkeeping software!

I am also a Quicken user and saw Web Connect (QFX download) to PayPal stop working around the same time as MurphsWorld original post.

Has PayPal dropped support for Web Connect/QFX?

I went looking for this feature and couldn't find it,

I'm making sure I use paypal as little as possible and advising my wife the same, as if you can't easily categorize spending it makes accounting through quicken very hard.

one thing to note is QFX is a much better defined output than QIF or CSV.

So for me downloads in CSV is only the most basic of historical record keeping
