I work for a company and make commission. They give me things to sell, and the money is sent to my PayPal account. At the end of the month, I keep whatever commission I make and give the rest to the company. On the 1099-K form, it shows how much the total sales was, but that is not how much I actually made that month. Is there anyways you can correct this? Or can my accountant correct this for me?
It's the firs time I'm doing this and have no experience whatsoever. PayPal has already sent a copy to the IRS, so I'm not sure if it's too late.
Also, there are slight discrepancies in numbers between what PayPal sent me and what I have recorded. It's not a big deal because it's mostly a mistake on my part, but there is one month that is way off. Just wondering if other people also have some differences with their numbers.
