Connecting PayPal with GiveWP

First, I am a novice with no real web-building experience. So, I'm unsure if I am understanding all of the steps required in this process.

 

I'm trying to connect my PayPal account to the GiveWP plugin for WordPress. I've gone through onboarding and I get these error messages from GiveWP:

  • PayPal merchant status check API request response is:
    {"error":"invalid_token","error_description":"Access Token not found in cache"}
  • Your account is not fully set up and ready to receive payments. Please log into your PayPal account at paypal.com and address the following issues. Reach out to PayPal support if you need help setting up your account.

I also did a ticket through the PayPal help desk and was told I needed to apply the advanced credit and debit card payments to my account. Then try to connect again. I believe I've done this but honestly, I'm not sure because the plug-in still doesn't work. I also deleted the plugin and added it back to my website. It didn't help. Obviously, I'm missing something. I've been stuck now for 3 days. Any help would be appreciated!

To assist you in resolving the issue you are experiencing with the invalid token, please refer to the detailed guide provided in the link below. 

 

https://developer.paypal.com/api/rest/authentication/

 

https://developer.paypal.com/api/rest/postman/

 

Important: Please note that it is important to utilize the token within 24 hours. If it is not used within this timeframe, you will need to generate a new token.

 

I would suggest to please cross check your PayPal Business account and make sure it is verified and confirmed without any account limitations

 

Also, please try to process a test payment using a card that is not associated to your PayPal Account, since merchants can't process self-payments.

 

If your still facing issues, please create an MTS ticket via -  https://www.paypal-support.com/s/?language=en_US  with the detailed information and error details.
