Why can I no longer use Pay in 3?

Hello,

I recently used PayPal's Pay in 3 service. I paid the full amount on time but can no longer use Pay in 3 - it doesn't appear as an option. The only reason i can think for this is that on the second payment, they tried to take the money in the morning but it wasn't there until the afternoon. So I paid manually but still on the date the payment was due. If that's the reason it seems like a harsh one to restrict my use of the service.

Anyone shed any light on this? Customer services were no help with this.

Mostly its automated but I do know if you have had a failed payment the option is removed.

Also as its a small term loan by paypal then there must be a finite amount of folks they can offer it to at any one given time.

At the moment I guess paypal along with loads of other companies are feeling the monetary pressures?
