Hello,
I attempted to make the first of a Pay in 3 payment earlier. As I was trying to change my delivery address, the PayPal window I was setting up the payment in crashed, and the order on the merchant's website did not go through.
Yet, when I went to my PayPal account, I could see that a temporary authorisation had been set up. My bank account had also been charged the amount of the first payment.
I have since called PayPal's customer support to cancel the authorisation, which they did. I was just wondering how long it usually takes for a cancelled authorisation like to this disappear from my PayPal account, and how long it will be before the funds are back in my bank account?

Hi @RMW317! Welcome to the Community Forum and thanks for joining the PayPal Community! When making a purchase with Pay in 3, we will conduct a pre-authorization hold on your specified card for an amount equal to the initial down payment or one third of your total purchase amount. Usually, the pending authorization will be automatically voided by PayPal within 72 hours of the pre-authorization hold. I hope this information helps. -Kyson
