Charge error from PayPal's Pay in 4

Has anyone encountered a problem with PayPal's Pay in 4 charging x amount even though they didn't purchase the product or push through with the transaction? I was looking at deals on a site and wanted to see how much it would total if I used the Pay in 4 option but didn't purchase anything but PayPal charged me anyways and I did this twice and now have two pending charges on something I didn't buy and will not be buying. How can I resolve this?

Hello @Missfoxyg

Welcome to the PayPal Community! I'm sorry to hear you've run into some issues with a recent Pay in 4 transaction. When selecting Pay in 4 at checkout, PayPal will conduct a pre-authorization hold on your specified card or bank account for an amount equal to the initial down payment or one fourth of your total purchase amount. This may show as a pending authorization within your PayPal Account Activity and also at your financial institution.

However, just to make sure that's what is going on, I would recommend reaching out to our Customer Support teams for clarification.

Best wishes on this and future transactions,

This just happened to me. I did not complete transactions, yet now I have 3 pending authentications. (2 are a duplicate) I would like to just be able to cancel/void these pending authorizations since I didn't even buy anything. I haven't been able to get far.
