I live in Canada.
I only have one currency activated in my PayPal account - USD. Up until now, when people sent me payments in USD, I received the payment in USD no problem.
Now, I am receiving the payments in CAD, which I do NOT want. And then it asks me if I want to accept or decline the payment, since i tis in a currency I do not hold. And it is from the same people who previously sent me USD no problem.
One of them told me "it automatically just popped up as CAD. ("You are sending xxxx USD. Recipient will get yyyyy CAD.")
Why is this happening and how can i stop it? I already called PayPal support, but the agent was not helpful at all. They offered no reason why it happened and gave me no advice as to how to stop it, only saying that it 'shouldn't' be happening. But it is.
