Using PayPal balance - Part Payment

I want to buy an item on eBay. I have some money on my PayPal balance which is seperate from my card.

The amount on my PayPal balance is not enough to cover the item.

Can I spend my balance and then pay the rest on my card?

If that is possible, please tell me how you do it.
