Refund problem

I bought some shoes off depop (clothing website where you can sell your clothes) and payed through the app on paypal but the guy i bought it from no longer has access to that paypal account so he cant receive the money and i cant get a refund how can i get a refund?

Is it showing as SENT or PAYMENT/COMPLETED?

If sent then did you send it using the friends/family option? The reason i ask is that it is a scammers trick to tell you to send payment that way and then say they can't access it knowing that because you used that option you negated your buyer protection.

If that is not the case then if it shows as pending or unclaimed it will time out at 30 days and go back to you.

If not and you paid using goods/services and completed then you would need to raise a dispute for non receipt of item to get a refund.
