Refund Questions, please help.

Yesterday I made 2 purchases to HTC through PayPal using my debit, I received an email later that day informing me the order was cancelled and a refund was issued for both orders. I talked to my bank about the cancellation and they said everything was good on their end. The funds are currently still out for pending as of right now and my bank told me they’re waiting for the merchant. With the email telling me a refund was issued from PayPal what is the time frame I can see my money back and re order? I’ve never gone through PayPal for that large of an amount so it’s just concerning to me right now. Because all the money is still out pending.

Pending refunds can only happen for two reasons.

1. The seller has issued a refund from their bank account which takes time to process.

2. You funded the payment to the seller using bank transfer. What PayPal do here is credit the recipient on your behalf (so there is no delay in despatching your item). Then if you receive a refund in the meantime they are unable to issue this until the original bank transfer completes.
