Payment on Hold for international transaction

One of my transaction is sayin that the payment is on hold. It asked me to update the details which I did. This is for a freelancing service, so there is no shipping information. PayPal asked me to update the order status which I did. It is still saying that you have successfully updated the order status and the money will be released in 7 days after verification.

My question: who will process the verification? Does the client will receive any verification email from PayPal? It is already 7 days and it is still saying the money is on hold.

When funds are released.
1.
Normally funds are released when tracking shows delivery of the item to the buyer + 1 day as long as you used one of Paypals approved shipping carriers / Paypal shipping.
2.
If you don't send with tracking then funds are released at 21 days.
3.
If you are selling items to be collected OR virtual items OR services where tracking is not appropriate then you can mark the transaction as processed and the buyer 'may' have the option to confirm receipt on the transaction on their Paypal account. IF the buyer agrees to do so and IF the option is available to them then funds may be released earlier for you, however that is not guaranteed.
4.
If its an ebay sale then funds from ebay may be released earlier with positive feedback.

Thank you for the detailed explanation.

However my buyer didn't received any email from PayPal from where he can accept the service completion notification. And I do not know if there is any option to resend the acceptance email from PayPal.

Note: I have already updated the order status. It is a service delivery and do not have any shipping information.
