Payment not reflecting on activity, need to dispute for refund

Hi Community, 

 

So I made a payment on the 30th of August 2021, using paypal. I have received my receipt from paypal. 

 

Prior to making a payment on the 30th of August 2021, I had not completed creating my paypal account so I manually entered my bank details and card details. I only completed creating my paypal account on the 31st of August, which was after I made payment. 

 

Yestereday I realised that, the company I made payment to could possibly be a scam. So I have been trying to search for my payment of the 30th on the paypal account so to dispute and get a refund, however my payment does not reflect under activity. 

 

On my banking app, the payment reflects as pending and I was hoping its also still pending on the paypal account however I am unable to view any of the payments made.

 

Please help.

You don't have Paypal buyer protection cover as a guest buyer but you can contact customer services and they may be able to assist you by reaching out to the seller for you.
So If you need help for a guest buyer transaction then you can;

1. Phone Paypal customer services and see if they will help you.
OR
2. Contact your card issuer for a chargeback.
