Hello, I have just made a payment of 323,99 GBP to a business right now, having my balance in euros. After a normal conversion rate, the total should've been around 366 euros, but PayPal charged 381. Can anyone tell me why this fee was this huge?
And another question, PayPal cannot be contacted at all, neither on the phone nor in a message. What is actually going on, it's totally unacceptable not to be able to reach a representative on such a huge company!!

Hi,
Because PayPal adds a currency conversion fee to their currency exchange rate that is based from the wholesale market.
Use the PayPal currency rate calculator to get a closer idea of what you’ll be charged but this rate might not be the actual rate at the time of conversion. PayPal shows you the currency exchange rate used at checkout and you can choose your card to do the conversion instead also at checkout.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
