Paying multiple sellers

Hello,

As we're in the process of launching a marketplace website akin to Etsy or eBay, where sellers can list and sell their products, we're exploring the payment process. In our scenario, the buyer purchases a product, the payment is received in our account, and then PayPal or a similar service deducts fees such as credit card/PayPal transaction fees. The remaining amount is then transferred to the seller's account. Does PayPal provide this specific service?

The quickest way to get started with a marketplace style integration like the one you are describing here is to use PayPal Payouts [https://developer.paypal.com/docs/payouts/] or to work with a 3rd party that offers a pre-built marketplace solution [https://www.paypal.com/us/business/platforms-and-marketplaces/directory].

PayPal Payouts may be used to send up to 5,000 payments per file using a .csv (comma separated value) file within your PayPal account [https://developer.paypal.com/docs/payouts/standard/payouts-web/]. The PayPal Payouts REST API may be used to programmatically send up to 15,000 payments in 1 API call from your own custom integration [https://developer.paypal.com/docs/payouts/standard/integrate-api/].
