Have Expired Unactivated Debit Card and cannot get new one

I ordered a debit card about a year ago or something like that, got it, and didn't realize it wasn't activated. Now, it's expired - 8/11, and when I enter that in to activate it, I get an error message regarding the expiration date. Can I get a new debit card without activating the one that is expired, or am I up the creek?

I have found a solution.

I went to:
"My account tools

• PayPal Debit MasterCard®"

and closed the card, reporting it as "lost/stolen".

I then ordered a new one.
