Unable to link Credit Card

Good day, I am using PayPal for the first time.

I have a problem linking my credit card to my PayPal account The credit card was linked to my wife's account, I unlinked it from there and try to link it to my account, but get a message that says it is still in use. I thought it may need some time to register the process, but it has been days and the message persists.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I.

Hello @IliasTrinidad,

Welcome to the community forum and thanks for posting.

I am sorry to know that you're unable to link a card. Our security program considers a variety of factors at each transaction/activity to keep you safe. Any activity can often be blocked or declined if we detect any unusual or suspicious activity or not safe for your account in the future. If you have successfully removed the card from the other account, I would recommend you try to link the card again after a couple of hours. Here's the article to know more information. If you still face the same issue, please reach out to our customer support team through the available contact options on our website.

I hope this helps.

Ayesha

Hello Ayesha,

Thank you for your answer, but it doesn't work. The reply I got from support is that once the card has been linked to an account, and then unlinked, it is marked as used and can no longer be used. They advised me to get a new card. But it is mentioned all over the PayPal pages that you can unlink a card and link it again. So which one is it?

Best,

I.
