Scam / will PayPal reimburse me

I recently sold an iPhone for 200$ on eBay and shipped it and never got payment, I received an email claiming to be PayPal and said to send receipt to them and payment will be released into my account I sent the receipt but never got payment, will REAL PayPal reimburse me for the stolen item? And also the name of the buyer was Rica Siller and the name on the email was Saka John located in Nigeria and “Rica” was located in Somerset UK.

sending an unpaid item was a bad idea.
Did you make this transaction outside of ebay?
ie unpaid on ebay?
but paid with a false payment or false payment email, still outside ebay?

I know I messed up but I was tryna get the package out ASAP and yes it was all within ebay

if on ebay, this purchase exists, ==> object sold, you should be able to open a dispute above to claim payment /

No one will sadly reimburse you for this as NONE of the transaction would have been done using Paypal or Ebays site..............

SCAM.

They may buy on Ebay but they use an anonymous or hijacked Ebay account and DO NOT have a Paypal account so they can't use Ebay checkout.

They encourage you to accept a 'direct' Paypal payment and may ask you to send the item internationally.
No funds or activity of the transaction shows in your Paypal account and any emails 'may' go into your junk/spam folders.

You will get/got a "fake" email that looks as though it is from paypal.....it isn't because they don't actually have a Paypal account and have no intention of paying you.
It will say the buyer has paid ...you won't have been paid.
They will tell you that the payment is released when you provide paypal with a tracking/shipping number......this won't happen.

Paypal NEVER tell you to send an item before the payment is showing in your paypal account.
Paypal do not tell you to send trackable, they advise it for selling protection but it is not compulsory.

indeed, if everything is based on fake in this transaction, nobody will refund it / 😞

on the French forum, I see this often 😞

false email scam, false payment ==> eBay, Vinted, site between individuals

no possible litigation, because no existing paypal account /
