Hi all, I got a payment from a friend. They send it as commercial payment by mistake and now PayPal asks for shipment information.
I found some advise here to mark as no tracking number needed (as there is none) and I also told my friend to mark it as received - they said they did that via email.
Still the payment is on hold and still it says I will get money one day after delivery. There is not delivery! How can I make sure I get my money?
is there a number to call for situations like this?
With payments received for tangible goods Paypal would request valid tracking information confirming the item has been delivered to the buyer. As they can validate the tracking information online, once it is delivered they can release the funds. As you have received the funds for a service no tracking number is applicable and Paypal would be unable to release these funds any sooner than the 21 days.
If you mark the transaction as processed then the buyer may have the option on their account to mark the transaction as delivery/satisfied. If the buyer confirms this by clicking on the "Confirm Receipt" button, the funds may be released to you sooner. This is not always guaranteed.
If not then sadly its 21 days.
Thank you so much for your kind reply, @kernowlass !
I was afraid the money will never arrive, unless there is a proof of delivery (which in my case is not possible as there was no shipment in the first place!).
I am happy to hear that it will arrive after 21 days. I do not mind the wait as long as it arrives.
