PayPal unlinked my checking account

I received an email from PayPal yesterday indicating that they had unlinked my checking account.  I contacted the bank and there is no issue on their end.  I cannot reach anyone to talk with at PayPal and none of the automated information addresses my issue.  I have tried to link the account again several times and keep getting the message that they can't link the account.  I am beyond frustrated at this point - customer service SUCKS - actually there isn't any right now!!

Have you had a negative balance or failed bank transfer at all recently?

If so then paypal will remove the link as they don't want to risk that happening again and then they force you to use the safer option (to them) of a debit or credit card.
