I got to update my number. You can too!
You'll need to reply to one of the bloggs in the related chat forum, then, you'll be asked to pick a username. After sending your reply you should be back into your account. Once there, click the settings cog to update your number.
You'll have to update/add your new number twice to get rid of the old number. That means TWO verification codes to your new number.
It's a bit of a pain, but worth a try for anyone reading this. Hope it works for you.
