Why am I being bombarded with CAPTCHAs?

Every time I log in, I have to go through at least four rounds of CAPTCHAs - that's in addition to entering my account password AND verifying with a code texted to my phone.

Why is this? None of my banks or card companies are doing this to me.

 

PS - and it refused to accept this message first time - until I'd completed even more CAPTCHAs !!

 

PPS - and now it tells me I forgot to categorize my submission, but I can't just do that - oh no, I need to do another few rounds of CAPTCHAs first

 

PPPS - and while I was typing the last update before submitting, it says my verification has expired and I need to do it yet again. Have you people got any idea how to write an IT system?
