Unauthorized auto recognition

Although I have been in touch with PayPal about this three times and they assured me that with my current settings it will not happen again, today PayPal itself turned on auto recognition for me against my wishes. I have to take the action of turning it off. This is so frustrating! I have important reasons why I do not want auto recognition of my account on my phone, but at least once a month PayPal itself overrides this “as a convenience” to me. Which it certainly is not. I am very close to dropping PayPal completely. Has anyone else been able to permanently resolve this issue with PayPal?
