Unable to verify PSD2

Hi all, I have been trying to access PayPal for a few days. Every time I attempt to log in, I am met with a PSD2 verification process, and it requires me to verify via a phone number I do not have access to anymore. I’ve tried to call PayPal customer service (UK) but I’ve been met with abysmal service as my call is shut off constantly, saying I either am calling outside business hours (I am calling well within their business hours), or my enquiry cannot be answered over the phone at the moment. I am absolutely disgusted in this customer service, and I am looking for anyone from this community to guide me towards getting my account back. Many thanks, Jonel

When i try to login direct to paypal web page, i stuck at phone number which is not valid anymore.

Only working way without mobile app.

Buy something on Steam (or elsewhere), ebay popup window appears.

Login with your username and password -> only there is an option to add new mobile phone number!!!!

Code came instantly, BUM i am not locked anymore because PSD2 directive.

Try:

1. Downloading the app to see if it will let you in to change / update it in the settings.

2. Use the forgotten password option.

3. Trying another browser that may let you in without phone verification (then change it when you have logged in).

4. Trying again another day when sometimes you can get in without doing the verification and then change the number.

5. Sometimes changing the password a few times works.

If that does not work then you would need to contact customer services so that they can i.d. you another way and then add your new phone number to your account.

Paypal phones are mostly non operational since covid but sometimes you get lucky. (use the guest option if you can't log in).
If there is one available it will show when you click help / contact bottom left of Paypal pages for options available in your country.
Live chat is randomly available.
You can send them a message.
Or
have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
